When I first started this blog, I connected with other midlife bloggers via BlogHer, a women's blog site. Several of us responded to the post query "Where are all the midlife bloggers?" submitted by Jane of the By Jane blog.
Soon, and with much work, Jane created MidLife Bloggers: Making the most of midlife together.
MidLife Bloggers is a wonders site that features various contributors, on these topics:
Our Bodies: What We See In The Mirror and How We Feel About It
Our Careers : The work that we do and that we wish we did
Our Minds: Our emotional, spiritual, and intellectual selves
Our Relationships: Mates, children, parents, siblings, friends.
A group of us women bloggers contribute to the blog (included your truly). I encourage you to visit the site. Here is a sample of recent posts:
Social Networking, Twitter, and our brave new world, by Darryle Pollack, who also blogs at I Never Signed Up For This
I Have Nothing to Wear: Pants Department, or How about that elastic waist? by By Laura G. of Rebellious Thoughts of a Woman

Hi, I can certainly relate to the last blog about elastic waists. When I was younger and our children were small I swore I would never let myself get out of shape or beyond a certain size. Oh well................... I am still here. And although I didn't keep my size goal I am grateful for my other qualities that have come with age and experience.. Pam
I agree - snaps, buttons, zippers - all over rated!
I've enjoyed Midlife Bloggers -- thanks for the reminder. It's wonderful to see so many women in our age group forming an online community!
I, too, am a midlife bloggers--and thanks for even linking to my post on waistbands. I would be a lot more comfy in my midlife and with my midsize if those C-rated fading stars would stop talking about how life is grand being a size 4. Seriously, I thought part of being midlife is accepting ourselves and not giving into society's dictates. They should be reading Midlife Bloggers.
I agree, Laura. Some of these celebrities spend hours a day toning and exercising, then talk about how wonderful it is having a family - a family someone ELSE is cooking for and cleaning up after, not doubt.
Cindy: Thanks for the support.
Sorry I'm late getting to this, but thank you very much for it! You all are what make MidLifeBloggers...
Sorry I am late to see this too, thanks for the link and MidLife Bloggers is a great site.
